In this day and age you rarely hear of a family that doesn't have but at least one child they are struggling with for behavior issues. This is for a number of reasons such as parents becoming much more lenient than what society was used to in the past, as well as children learning some behaviors from others in schools.Children are getting pregnant, trying drugs and having much more freedom to do as they please then ever before.Crimes associated with children are on the rise as well and there truly is only way method to save the children of the world from turning into a generation of poor members of society. That method is by starting to implement the important life skills right at home.Parents want the best for their children, and they also want to give their kids more than they had. While this may be a great theory for those that desire to send their children to college if they did not have those opportunities, that is fine.It is the parents that allow their children so much freedom that the child is roaming the streets as an adult or getting into trouble.Children need to be given boundaries as well as they need to have time to be a child in their lives or they will suffer for it later as adults. When you provide a cell phone for your nine year old child and allow them to go to bed when they want to, you are asking for trouble. They will begin to make their own rules and gain so much independence that they will essentially grow up too fast. When you lose the playful aspects of being a kid you turn into an adult. If a young child is being bothered all day by their endless text messages and checking up on their online emails and social networking website profiles, they have no time to go outside and play or to enjoy being a child. This is the only time they have to be young and not stressed in their lives before they go off to college and they should be enjoying every second of it.So how do you possibly keep your child from turning into an adult too quickly? By doing things as a family more often and by not allowing your child to have too many mature items such as electronic devices that take away from their childhood. They can have a cell phone or a laptop if they are teenagers and possess good grades along with keeping a clean room and being a respectful child. They need to follow directions and not get involved with trouble in order to earn certain items like those. If your child has a car of their own, there must be rules in place such as when they are to arrive home each day and how far of a distance you permit them to drive in their car.If your child is respectful and responsible with their things and their life, you can certainly give them more freedom than a child who is not.Just use caution as being their friend more than their parent can have a poor outcome.
