Welcome to the New Feudal System

Welcome to the New Feudal System

Don't look now, but the psyche of the American public is being toyed with."We" are being told that there is no money, we've overdrawn our National account and unless we raise our credit limit we are in danger of having our credit rating downgraded and we all know how devastating that can be.Now here is the "real" story. The top, privileged 1% of the population claim 50% of the wealth in this country. The remaining 9% of the top 10% claim 50% of the remaining wealth.Starting to get the picture? That leaves the remaining 25% of our total National Wealth to be fought over by 90% of the population. In other words, essentially everyone in this country is entitled to compete for one quarter of the National wealth. All the while 75% is already owned by the top 10% and in the background we keep hearing the "Chant", "We WANT MORE!' Too Much is NEVER enough! Greed is GOOD!".Big business including big Wall Street firms as well as the oil companies and the huge box stores like Walmart have never had it so good! Exxon Mobile just came out with their quarterly statement and they made more than 10 BILLION in profit in just this quarter and they are up over 40% from last year and yet because they are a petroleum company they are entitled to tax breaks. And CEO's nationwide think nothing of granting themselves 7 million dollar bonuses while entire neighborhoods in major cities are being abandoned and the rate of the homeless and the unemployed is sky rocketing! And when talks of the debt getting out of control are spoken of in Congress there is nothing said about the top 10% that control 75% of the total wealth. That topic is simply off the table. And the 90% who have to share the remaining quarter left by the wealthy have to share their tiny piece with The Military, Gov Bailouts and all Foreign Aid.And why exactly are we spending billions in dollars that rightfully belong to the 90 % of the population fighting to survive, on war and aid to Iraq, Afghanistan, and even billions to Pakistan, (who were so very helpful in helping us find Bin Laden!).We certainly aren't there for the oil.Canada, Alaska and the U.S.Has more oil than the entire Middle East.We really aren't being "attacked" by any foreign government and I doubt we are there simply to convert an ancient tribal culture to modern democracy. Then why are we there, spending billions and billions every year? This is becoming the longest war in the history of the planet. If this were simply a dysfunctional American family we could say it appears that dad is an addict and is blowing the family resources to support his personal habit. And our elected representatives are now speaking about having to cut "entitlement" programs like Social Security.Entitlement? I would like to know the percentage of workers who actually live long enough to collect the money they have "donated" to the government coffers, let alone anything additional. The government isn't "giving" the elderly "free money".A worker can put $200,000 -$400,000 into social security over the course of a long working life. The government has "free use" of this money for decade after decade and it pays no interest on this loan from the general population. Why isn't the government paying at least 4% interest? There should be no talk of the elderly demanding "entitlements" which the government has the power to give or take away? The working people of this country have invested their hard earned money in the United States of America and they have been ripped off by their representatives. The average retired person will be lucky to live long enough to be paid the full amount of his personal contribution to this country and what about all the people who never reach retirement age? Do their children get the lifelong contribution made by their parents? Is it a part of their personal inheritance? Never going to happen. That's just more "free money" for the top 10%.But what really bothers me is the rampant greed being exhibited today by the top 10 %.Back in the '50's and 60's the system was actually working.Everyone was making a profit and the middle class was thriving and parents could rest assured that they would be leaving a better world for their children. And then the new mantra became "Profit first, last and foremost".The more the better and too much was never enough.Air Traffic Controllers were fired for wanting better working conditions, mental health facilities were closed and the mentally impaired sent to the streets.Unions were busted, millions of jobs were outsourced to foreign countries (and companies rewarded with tax breaks).Suddenly plane loads of cash (literally and figuratively) were being sent to foreign countries. For a business man to make a million dollars suddenly wasn't enough. To make ten million wasn't enough.A current CEO of a major company expects to make a multimillion dollar yearly salary and then be given another multi-million dollar yearly bonus and stock options. Why? "Because I am worth it!".But what about the double digit unemployment? "Just tell 'em to get a job. They're just lazy and relying on a government hand out!" .But what about the millions of homeless and all the homeless vets? "They're just lazy, alcoholic drug abusers.Serves them right!".Not only have the top ten percent taken 75% of the cash off the table, they've proceeded to give away half of the remaining 25% to foreign countries through foreign aid, War and job outsourcing! My fellow Americans, we are witnessing nothing less than the reintroduction of the Feudal system in this county. You had better quickly align yourself with your local ranking Baron, Duke or Prince.

Welcome to the New Feudal System
